RISE with SAP drives growth of Latin American smart enterprises

  • The company recorded its 28th consecutive quarter of growth in sales of its cloud solutions in Latin America, with consistent increases throughout the region.
  • SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP Human Experience Management solutions stood out during the second quarter of the year.
SAP Latin America presented the results for the second fiscal quarter of 2022: for the 28th consecutive period - seven full years - double-digit growth in cloud solution revenue was achieved, with consistent increases across all countries in the region. Brazil in particular stands out as one of the six global markets with strong cloud revenue performance, along with Germany, the United States, Switzerland and Japan.
In Latin America continues to highlight the rapid adoption of the holistic digital transformation offering as a service RISE with SAP, driven by SAP S/4HANA Cloud, which reported a double-digit increase in adoption. Not for nothing has this powerful platform just been listed as leader in Gartner's Magic Quadrant in the cloud ERP for service companies category. An example is Rappi, a Latin American unicorn with presence in 9 countries and more than 250 cities in Latin America, which adopts RISE with SAP in the search for a robust ERP that supports its new business unit TURBO, which consists of making deliveries in 10 minutes in all the countries where it operates. With this holistic integrated offering, Rappi expects to achieve greater operational efficiency and a clear, real-time visualization of information that will enable it to meet its business objectives.
Also Camposol, one of the main Peruvian companies in the agro-industrial sector, adopts RISE with SAP to modernize its technology platform and leverage its growth, initiate the automation of its financial consolidation process, optimize its technological operations and its level of service. At the same time, it seeks to strengthen and improve the relationship with its suppliers and business partners, taking advantage of the business network components available in this SAP offering.

In this business environment, people are at the center of companies' strategies. This priority is reflected in the high double-digit growth achieved by the SAP Human Experience Management portfolio, particularly with SAP SuccessFactors solutions. One example is Votorantim, the Brazilian corporation with operations in 16 countries in industries such as construction materials, finance, aluminum, renewable energy, mining, real estate and others, which is reinforcing its 25-year partnership with SAP by renewing its SAP Human Experience Management portfolio to handle its current and future talent needs.
Another company that shores up its talent platform is Gentera, a group of companies that offers financial services with sustainable management and has brought financial inclusion to more than 13 million people in Mexico and Peru. This organization renewed the SAP SuccessFactors portfolio and acquired Qualtrics to strengthen the priorities and needs of its 21,000 employees and thus promote strategies to improve their work experiences.
A highlight of this quarter is the exponential growth of SAP Business Technology Platform, the modernization technology platform that enables data management and analysis, innovative application development and automation, which recorded a three-digit increase. A highlight in this segment is the Mexican dairy company Sello Rojo, which adopted SAP Business Technology Platform to integrate all its business information into a single platform, optimize and categorize all the company's data assets and make business decisions in an accurate and agile manner.
In the context of how supply chain efficiency is essential to address disruptions and maintain supply levels, demand for SAP Digital Supply Chain grew by double digits. The second quarter also reflected the return of corporate travel, with an exponential increase in the SAP Concur travel and expense management tool.

"That explains solid financials and remarkable growth in our most strategic lines of business and in all countries in the region."she concluded.
SAP' s partner ecosystem again performed strongly this quarter: indirect sales of cloud solutions showed a double-digit increase.
Looking by industry, the most notable increases were noted in segments such as retail, telecommunications and financial services.
Globally, SAP reported 24% growth in cloud revenue in constant currency.
